Milrem Robotics will deliver more than 150 THeMIS vehicles to Ukraine through a large-scale donation funded and coordinated by the Netherlands.
The THeMIS (Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System) vehicles that will be delivered to Ukraine have been assembled in partnership with the Dutch defense company VDL Defentec.
According to information from the Militarnyi website, the official announcement of the delivery of the unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) was made last Monday (6) at the VDL facilities in Born.
The announcement took place during a signing ceremony, attended by the Dutch Minister of Defense, Ruben Brekelmans, executives from Milrem, and representatives from VDL.
“It is an honor to lead this project in partnership with the Netherlands and VDL. The THeMIS platform has already proven its value in combat conditions, and we believe that this contribution will substantially strengthen Ukraine’s defense capability,” said Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics.
The deliveries will be made by Milrem Robotics Netherlands in close cooperation with VDL, which is setting up a dedicated final assembly line in Born to support the effort.
Milrem will also provide training for Ukrainian operators and maintenance personnel to ensure the systems can be quickly deployed and effectively sustained in combat environments.
